For you, with the energy of arcana 9, it’s important to spend time in solitude from time to time. Being alone with your thoughts doesn’t make you feel lonely, on the contrary, it often gives you joy. You are calm and serene, wise and educated: these are the qualities that describe the Hermit well. You are usually a fulfilled person with a great deal of life experience, who always takes responsibility and knows how to make hard decisions.

- Wisdom The Hermit is very wise and attentive, loves gaining new knowledge and reflecting on what happens around them. In time, their life fills with deep meaning and wisdom. They know how to listen to and understand people, and in maturity others often turn to them for advice or an objective assessment of their own actions.
- Knowledge and experience This person loves to learn and to put into practice what they’ve learned. They usually choose a single field in which to improve for many years. Along the way, they never take information superficially; for them, it’s important to get to the heart of things. The Hermit has often had a hard life path, but has gained a great deal of valuable and varied experience. One of the main aims of arcana 9 is to pass on the knowledge and experience they’ve gathered to future generations.
- Solitude Even while going about their daily activities, it’s important for them, from time to time, to focus on their inner world. It is within themselves that they find the strength for their future achievements. But this doesn’t mean the Hermit pulls away from outside life or is ready to stay alone forever.
- Reasonableness and attention Arcana 9 can be called the most attentive and reasonable person. They know how to set emotions aside, look at the situation from a distance, calmly weigh all the circumstances and make well-rounded decisions. It must be said that in business, too, they are slow and meticulous.
- Creative talent This person has several undeniable creative talents. They are an excellent speaker, have a good command of writing and know how to connect facts and make predictions. They can achieve notable success in any of the humanities.
- Asceticism and spiritual strength For the Hermit, material success isn’t worth much. What interests them most is spiritual growth and, sometimes, social recognition. They live simply and almost like an ascetic, paying no attention to fashion or public opinion. They have their own goals and a personal path that they follow all their life.

- Withdrawal The Hermit can sink so deep into their inner world that they forget how to interact with others. While perfecting themselves in their field, they stop perceiving the outside world, the family and everyday problems. In time, this lifestyle can lead them to apathy, which can be hard to climb out of alone.
- Fear of being alone There is also another negative extreme of the energy of arcana 9, in which the person, on the contrary, has a panicked fear of being left alone. This can happen after a serious mistake or from fear of looking foolish. As a result, they surround themselves with questionable friends who don’t match their level. In the end, they slide into a thoughtless existence, losing themselves completely.
- Unrecognized wisdom As the years go by, the Hermit gathers knowledge, experience and wisdom. At some point, they have to start sharing everything they’ve learned with those who are interested. If that doesn’t happen and the Hermit finds no students or followers, the excess energy will gradually destroy who they are.
- Stubbornness and nitpicking This person is often quite arrogant and considers themselves smarter than others. If you wanted to tell them about a different point of view, you’d probably fail. The Hermit is likely to listen to you and ask many questions, trying to find a flaw. But even if you answer correctly, they will hardly change their mind.

What do the numbers mean?
Each number is one of the 22 energies, with the names of the Marseille Tarot: 8 is Justice, 11 is Strength. Each energy has a positive and a negative side and changes shade depending on the zone it’s in.
What is the Karmic Tail?
They’re the three energies at the bottom of the octagram: they tell a task that comes from before this life. There are 26 possible combinations, each with a name and a story.
