Privacy Policy

Who handles your data, which data, why, and how to exercise your rights.

This policy explains how we handle the personal data of people who use matricedeldestino.it: the free calculator, the readings, the books and the newsletter. We write it in plain words; if anything is unclear, write to us.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Lucernel LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Wyoming (United States), which operates the Matrix of Destiny website.

For any privacy question and to exercise your rights, write to info@matricedeldestino.it or privacy@lucernel.com.

The controller is based outside the European Union and handles the data of people in the Union in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data, why and for how long

Calculating the Matrix

The birth dates you enter for the calculation appear in the address of the result page, which our server uses to calculate the Matrix. Like any page you request, that address is recorded in the server’s technical logs and, if you accept statistics, in the statistics tools. We ask for no name or email to calculate the Matrix. The Matrices you save in “My Matrices” stay on your device.

Browsing data

  • Data: IP address, date and time, pages requested and browser type, in the server’s technical logs.
  • Why: to run the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • How long: 14 months at most.

Buying readings and books

  • Data: name, email, the birth dates and names of the people you order the reading for, a gift message if any, site language and estimated country. Card details are handled by Stripe and never pass through our site.
  • Why: to write and send you the reading or the book, help you, and keep our accounts.
  • Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • How long: as long as the law requires for accounting data; the birth dates also let us send the reading again if you lose it.

Emails after a purchase

If you buy a reading or a book you receive at most three emails: how to read it, a similar reading you may like, and your Karmic Tail. They are about services similar to the one you bought, and each one has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in offering similar services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and the e-Privacy rules on existing customers), with the right to object at any time.

Newsletter and welcome letters

  • Data: email, name if you write it, site language, country, region, province and municipality estimated from your IP address at sign-up (the address is not kept), the page you sign up from and, if they appear in the sign-up window, the details of the result you were looking at: birth dates, the child’s name, the Karmic Tail. The window shows them to you, and you can remove them before signing up.
  • Why: to send you the 120 pages of the Guide, the newsletter and a few letters about your Matrix, in your language and on the topics you care about. The estimated area helps us understand, overall, where subscribers come from.
  • Email measuring: by subscribing you agree that we can see whether you open our emails, thanks to a small invisible image (the pixel), and which links you click, because the links pass through our sending service for an instant. We need it to write to you about what interests you, to send fewer emails to people who do not read them and to stop writing to people who no longer open them.
  • If you do not want to be measured: you can turn it off at any time with the “Preferences” link at the bottom of every email. You keep receiving the newsletter, and your opens and clicks only count in the anonymous campaign totals. For people who subscribed before 18 October 2026, from 28 October 2026 opens and clicks only count in the anonymous totals.
  • Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; for email measuring also art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003). You withdraw the newsletter with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, and the measuring alone with the “Preferences” link.
  • How long: until you unsubscribe. If measuring is on and you open no email for many months, we remove you from the list.

Statistics

Only with your consent, given in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Umami to understand which pages help and where the site gets stuck. Purchases are also counted by our server, without cookies and without personal data. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Prices and currency

To show prices in the currency of your country, our server works out the country from your IP address at the time of the request, using a database kept on our own server: the address is not sent to anyone or stored for this purpose. The country only chooses the currency (euro, US dollar, pound, Swiss franc, Brazilian real or Mexican peso) and, if you buy, is saved with the order.

Messages you send us

If you write to us, we use your address and your message to reply, and keep them as long as needed to handle your request.

3. Who helps us handle the data

Some providers handle data on our behalf, only for the service they give us:

  • Hetzner Online GmbH: the servers of the site and the orders (in Germany) and those of Umami statistics (in the United States).
  • Stripe: payments and fraud prevention.
  • Email providers (Tophost, Italy; Amazon Web Services for sending the newsletter): delivering the emails.
  • Google (Analytics 4) and Microsoft (Clarity): statistics, only with your consent.

4. Data outside the European Union

The controller is based in the United States. The site and the orders run on servers in Germany; Umami statistics and some providers handle data in the United States.

Transfers to the United States go to companies certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of July 10, 2023) or rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission.

5. Automated decisions

Readings are put together from our texts, starting from the birth date. We make no automated decisions with legal effects on you and do no profiling of that kind.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • see what data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • correct it (Art. 16);
  • delete it (Art. 17);
  • restrict its use (Art. 18);
  • receive it in a readable format (Art. 20);
  • object to its use, including the emails after a purchase (Art. 21);
  • withdraw your consent, without affecting what was already done (Art. 7).

Write to info@matricedeldestino.it: we reply within one month. If you live in the United States, the privacy law of your state (California’s, for example) may give you the right to know, access, correct and delete your data and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. Write to us and we handle your request; you can also contact your state’s attorney general. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can complain to your data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

7. Children

Child readings are ordered by a parent: the parent enters the child’s name and birth date, which are used only to write the reading. The site is not meant for people under 14.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top. The valid version is always the one on this page.
